If you live in an extremely humid area, makeup isn’t your best friend.  I have extremely dry skin, so the summertime is really hard. I constantly battle between what to use, how much to use, and what will last the entire day without giving me a drowned dog look. The beauty industry is constantly growing and expanding, making it easier and easier to get quality makeup without costing a fortune.

Heavy, thick makeup is too much during the summer and can do major damage to your skin if you’re not careful. This main reason for this article is to highlight this Shea Moisture foundation. Before I found out about this  product, I had a troubling time finding the right color for my yellowish skin tone.

This foundation is more of a serum, which makes it easier to apply and last longer on your skin. I swear this foundation seeps right into your pores and moisturizes while it gives you full coverage. It comes in a huge range of colors and shades; I love that Shea Moisture always seek to be inclusive. There has a considerable amount of oil already in this foundation, but I have dry skin so it works very well with me.  The formula is great; the serum is thin and blends beautifully.  It has no SPF so it’s important to account for that. Using a pressed powder over this, it’s light enough to bring you through the day, but enough coverage that you don’t feel the need to constantly re-apply.

I throughly recommend trying this line, if you haven’t already. It’s now sold in Ulta, Target and online at www.sheamoisture.com!
