The Smoothie Takeover

Smoothies are one of the best ways to stay healthy.
Health guru and friend to the blog shares the best smoothie recipes out there.

(My close friend and recent health guru lent her thoughts + skills on how to be healthier in the new year! Smoothies are often a great way to boost your  immune system and energy, so we’re thrilled to have her voice on Tiff + Coco. Enjoy!  Coco) 


We live in a society where we love everything fast paced and pretty, and what better way to keep your life simple and healthy than a smoothie. Smoothies can be used as a meal replacement, a way to get your fruit in take for the day, or even for a facial scrub to get that beautiful glowy look. The most attractive thing about smoothies: SO MANY DIFFERENT VARIETIES. You can almost put anything in there and it would still turn out magnificent. While yes, certain ones call for bizarre fruits that you may have never heard of, but I can guarantee that you will still down that baby. You can turn your smoothie making into a fun game or even a competition with yourself to see how good you can get it. Below are a few of my favorite recipes that will trigger different parts of your life, all inspired by the lovely nutri-bullet recipe.

For A Youthful Glow 


• Spinach
• Avocado (sounds weird, just trust)
• Nectarine
• Blueberries
• Almonds

You can mix with water or almond milk; you can add greek yogurt for a bit of extra sass.

For Using The Smoothie as a Scrub

• Fresh Strawberries
• Almonds
• Swiss Chard

Use over wet face and leave on for about 10 minutes. You can do this as much as you want, it’s not a drying mask.

For A Peaceful Sleep

• Spinach
• Banana
• Mixed Berries
• Cashews or Almonds
• Almond milk or Water

For Good Bone Health

• Spinach
• Kale
• Avocado
• Orange
• Almonds
• Chia Seeds
• Almond Milk

Everyone is fooled to believe that you have to spend $10 dollars for the perfect smoothie, truth is, you can do it all from your kitchen from just buying these simple ingredients. Always remember, its always fun to mix and match to create your own. There is never a bad tasting smoothie with these ingredients. There is no better way to stay healthy and still be able to do it fast.
